If The Dome of The Rock was moved it, it could serve as an alternative to visiting the temple when people aren’t ready or feeling worthy.

 The influx of people searching for God would also ignite a lasting peace between Jews and Muslims if the temple was built.  And there is no commandment saying we can’t.  And my tribe, the levites, need to it fulfill their scriptural obligations to be temple priests.
