An Argument With Regard To The American Flag and The Flag of Israel

Although it might be startling to other countries knowing the fact that the U.S. does the pledge of allegiance to the flag when in school, I'm not heavily against it.  While in college, the option also feels good except that I've heard that they have funding removed from them for not displaying it.  I find the footing of this argument not to hold weight based on the fact that the display of the flag could stand for more then something being forced upon them in universities/colleges.  In churches sometimes they display a flag for Israel and I don't think that Israel is getting funding for it.
