A Fun Example Of How I Imagine Some Families Saying Grace

Dad: Would you like to say grace today before we eat?

The daughter looks at her mom.

Her mom nods in approval.

The daughter closes her eyes and says "Thank you for the chicken nuggets and for helping me get good grades."

There is a quieter moment that might happen just incase others are still praying.  

They want to be respectful of the other prayers so the quiet moment continues.

Then there is something that happens from another family member besides the daughter

The meal begins.

*The daughter didn't yet know what the word amen meant so she didn't say it.
